These 321.4 million-dirham social projects, which will benefit some 12,200 households, will be completed within 24 months.
They provide for extending the road network in the targeted districts, strengthening and modernizing the networks of drinking water, electricity, sewerage and public lighting, planting trees, as well as building several public facilities (a mosque, an indoor hall, a community center, a women's center, a training center, a health center, a nursery and sports fields).
The aim is to improve household hygiene, enhance the attractiveness of the city, promote the safety of people and property, protect the environment, and guarantee sustainable socio-economic development in the region.
The urban integration projects of Lahraouiyine North and Sidi Ahmed Belahcen districts are part of the component "Restructuring under equipped districts" of the priority program of upgrading the Greater Casablanca, presented to HM the King on October 27, 2014.
The urban integration program concerns 90 under equipped districts in the city of Casablanca, Mohammedia Prefecture, and the provinces of Nouaceur and Mediouna.
With a total budget of 2.768 billion dirhams, this program aims to improve the living conditions of more than 99,795 households, particularly through building roads to open up target districts, reinforcing the networks of drinking water, electricity, sewerage and public lighting, as well as building 47 proximity public facilities.
These strategic projects aim to revitalize the socio-economic fabric in the region to consolidate its position, improve the living conditions of its people and preserve the environment.
