This project, which is worth 6 million dirhams, is part of efforts made by the Sovereign to promote access of the poor to health care and fight disruption and irregularity of periodic medical monitoring that could aggravate their health conditions.
This medical center (level 2), whose construction works were launched by HM the King on July 6, 2015, will provide health care to patients diagnosed with diseases at health centers of level 1.
It will also provide accommodation, training and information to people of the region affected by chronic diseases, early detection of degenerative complications of diabetes, as well as coaching and training of regional actors in the field.
Thanks to an integrated approach combining medical care, nutrition education and development of associative action, the new center for the diagnosis and treatment of chronic disease will have a positive impact on the quality of life of beneficiaries.
Built on an area of 1,400 m2, the centre has a day hospital, rooms for general medical consultations, endocrinology, cardiology, ophthalmology and nephrology, a private dental and ultrasound room, a clinical laboratory, a nutrition education workshop, a pharmacy and an office for associations.
This project is to reinforce the socio-medical program of the Casablanca-Settat region (2016-2020), launched by the Sovereign on Saturday that aims at improving and strengthening the medical infrastructure of the region.
