Upon its arrival at Bab Assoufara (gate of ambassadors), the procession of the two sovereigns, HM King Mohammed VI and HM King Abdullah II, was escorted by a squad of the Royal Guard cavalry until the Mechouar Square.
At the Mechouar Square, HM King Mohammed VI, accompanied by HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and the sovereign of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, headed for the VIP stand to salute the national flags while the two countries' anthems were playing. A 21-gun salute was fired to welcome HM King Abdullah II.
HM the King and His distinguished guest reviewed afterwards a detachment of the Royal Guard which paid the honours.
HM King Abdullah II, accompanied by HH Prince Ghazi Bin Muhammad Bin Talal, Chief Advisor for Religious and Cultural Affairs, was then greeted mainly by the head of government, the speakers of the two houses of parliament, HM the King's advisors, government members, the high commissioner for planing, the high commissioner for waters, forests and fight against desertification, and the high commissioner for war veterans and former members of the liberation army.
HM King Mohammed VI was then greeted by members of the official delegation accompanying HM King Abdullah II of Jordan, notably Hani Al-Malki, Jordanian Prime Minister, Fayez Tarawneh, Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court, Ali Al Fazaa, Advisor to the Jordanian Sovereign, Abdallah Ourikat Al Adouan, Adviser to the Jordanian Sovereign, Authorizing Officer of the National Policy Council, Manar Dabbas, Director of Political Affairs at the Royal Hashemite Court, And Ali Hassan El Kayed, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom in Rabat. HM King Mohammed VI was also greetd by the staff of the Jordanian embassy.
The Hashemite Sovereign was then greeted by members of the Honorary Committee, which included Minister of Economy and Finance, Mohamed Boussaid, and HM the King's Ambassador to Jordan, Mohamed Sitri.
