"HM King Mohammed VI received today at the Royal Palace in Rabat, His Excellency Pedro Sanchez, Spanish Prime minister, who is visiting Morocco as part of the strengthening of the strategic partnership between the Kingdoms of Morocco and Spain.
The audience granted to the Spanish PM provided an opportunity to review the various aspects of bilateral relations in their political, economic, security and cultural components. Regional and international issues were also on the agenda of these talks.
At the audience, HM the King and the Spanish Prime minister agreed on the need to give greater impetus to bilateral relations by consolidating political dialogue and providing more dynamism to the concrete economic partnership, notably through the enhancement of the role of the private sector.
At the regional level, after commending the excellent relations between the two countries and the convergence of views on all the issues raised, HM the King and the Spanish PM praised the level of cooperation between the two countries in addressing the multiple challenges related to development, security and stability in Africa, the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
The audience was attended, on the Spanish side, by minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, Spain's ambassador in Rabat, Ricardo Diez-Hochleitner, and secretary-general for International Affairs, José Manuel Albares, and on the Moroccan side, by HM the King’s advisor, Fouad Ali El Himma, minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit, minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita, and ambassador of HM the King in Madrid, Karima Benyaich".
