Coming from the Rabat Royal Palace, the royal procession made its way to the Ahl Fez mosque, amidst the cheers of crowds of citizens who came to express their best wishes to HM the King, Commander of the Faithful, and to share with the Sovereign the joy of this happy celebration which crowns the holy month of Ramadan.
Upon his arrival at the mosque, HM the King reviewed a detachment of the Royal Guard which made the honors.
After the Eid prayer, the imam said the believers enjoyed throughout the month of Ramadan an atmosphere of piety and spirituality, adding that this is a unique moment, an opportunity for the Islamic Ummah to unite around the values of solidarity, generosity and cooperation.
This holy month is distinguished in Morocco by the religious lectures chaired by HM the King, the imam noted, stressing that these scientific meetings are a source of intellectual and civilizational information that contribute to spreading the real image of Islam and its lofty values and precepts.
HM the King was, afterwards, greeted by heads of Islamic countries' diplomatic missions accredited to Morocco who extended their congratulations and best wishes to the Sovereign.
At the royal palace, HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, received the wishes of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and HH Prince Moulay Ismail.
The Sovereign also received the wishes of the head of government, speakers of the two houses of parliament, HM the King's advisors, members of the government, high commissioners, presidents of constitutional bodies, directors of royal offices, HM the King's brothers-in-law, high-ranking officers of the general Staff of the Royal Armed Forces and several civil and military figures.
