This unit has a capacity of 27 beds and is equipped with modern medical and bio-technological devices to continuously monitor patients' breathing, heart and vital functions.
The regional director of Health in Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, Dr. Ouafae Ajnaou, stressed that this facility is added to the two resuscitation units of the Mohamed VI Hospital and the social security clinic in Tangier, which will increase the capacity in the resuscitation and intensive care units to 73 beds.
"This unit will enable us to strengthen the capacity to deal with critical cases that arrive at hospitals in Tangier during this period, especially vulnerable groups such as people over 65 years old and those with chronic diseases," Ajnaou told MAP.
