The exhibition, organized by the Directorate of Military History of the general staff of Morocco’s Royal Armed Forces (FAR), illustrates the commitment of the Kingdom of Morocco, under the clear-sighted leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, in the service of peace, security and humanitarian aid in Africa.

It highlights also the experience and know-how acquired over more than half a century in the promotion of peace, security and humanitarian assistance, particularly through the following means: the promotion of peace, security and humanitarian assistance.

These actions tend to strengthen regional and international peace and security conditions and mitigating humanitarian crises, particularly in Africa. They also proceed from a conscious perception of the Kingdom's commitments to uphold international legitimacy and contribute to the consolidation of the universal principles and values of peace, security and solidarity.

Out of the 11 Medical and Surgical Field Hospitals deployed by the Kingdom in Africa, seven were honored with the visit of HM the King.

The exhibition revolves around the following axes : “Moroccan contingents in the service of peacekeeping and the protection of civilian populations”;  “Medical and Surgical Field Hospitals (FMSH) and medical social assistance”; “Humanitarian aid granted and conveyed through the Kingdom of Morocco” and “Memory and testimonies”.

On this occasion, explanations were provided by  officers of FAR’s General Staff, in the presence of Morocco’s ambassador to Ethiopia,  Nezha Alaoui M'Hammdi, to ambassadors of AU member countries, permanent representatives to the Pan-African organization, as well as senior officials of the AU Commission, who expressed appreciation through messages in the exhibition’s guestbook.

More than 51,000 Moroccan peacekeepers have participated within 5 UN peacekeeping missions in Africa and 11 Medical and Surgical Field Hospitals were deployed in 10 African countries and provided more than 530,000 medical services to the local populations.
