Moroccan Dies on Airplane in Egyptian Airspace Following Heart Attack

Cairo  -
A Moroccan national died Sunday in Egyptian airspace after suffering a heart attack, Morocco’s embassy in Cairo said.

Ahmed Abadi (71) was returning from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where he performed the Al-Umrah rites, and heading to Casablanca.

He died after the pilot requested permission to land at Cairo’s airport, the source added.

The relevant services took the necessary measures to repatriate the body of the deceased to Morocco, in coordination with Cairo’s airport authorities and the accompanying wife of the deceased.
