Initial investigations revealed that the suspects aged between 22 and 32 were involved in propaganda of ISIS criminal acts as well as in the recruitment of young people with the aim of carrying out terrorist attacks that would undermine the security and the stability of the Kingdom at the instigation of an ISIS leader, the ministry added in a statement.

Some members of this cell were linked to some elements of the pro-ISIS terror cell dismantled on October 14, 2017, in Fez, the source said, recalling that the dismantlement of this cell led to the seizure of guns, a large amount of ammunition in addition to chemicals used in the manufacturing of explosives.

This new operation enabled the seizure of electronic devices, bladed weapons and electric cables, in addition to ISIS statements, according to the same source.

The suspects will be brought to justice upon the completion of the investigation which is led under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office.
