Nearly 2 Kg of Coke Removed from Stomach of Nigerian Man, Police

A quantity of 1.85 kg of cocaine was removed on Saturday from the stomach of a Nigerian man at the Casablanca Ibn Rochd university hospital, national police (DGSN) said.

Suspected of drug trafficking, the man was arrested on Aug. 5 by policemen at the Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport upon his arrival on a flight from Sao Paulo, DGSN pointed out in a statement.

The suspect was rushed into the Ibn Rochd university hospital centre to remove cocaine capsules from his stomach, the source added.

The man has been remanded on custody pending the completion of the investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor.
