Reporters Without Borders' Latest Report on Morocco is 'Unfair', Lacks Balanced & Precise Vision (Govt. Spokesman)

Rabat   -
The latest report by Reporters Without Borders (RSF) on the reality of press freedom in Morocco is "unfair" and lacks a "balanced and precise" vision, said, Thursday in Rabat, deputy minister for Relations with Parliament and Civil Society, government spokesman Mustapha El Khalfi.

Answering a question from journalists at the end of the weekly Cabinet meeting, El Khalfi described as "unfair" the report because it does not take into account many of the measures taken by Morocco.

The minister expressed his astonishment at the position in this report of certain countries that have witnessed terrible events in ranks better than Morocco, and this "despite the observations and criticisms that can be addressed to our country".

There are real problems concerning the data and methodology adopted by Reporters Without Borders and also as regards the balanced and precise vision, El Khalfi said.
