Royal Navy Assists 136 Would-be Immigrants off Tangiers and Al Hoceima

Two units of the Royal Navy, on patrol mission in Moroccan territorial waters, provided assistance this Saturday to 136 would-be immigrants, says a statement by the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces.

"After receiving reports, on Saturday 03 November 2018, stating that would-be immigrants had ventured aboard makeshift boats off the cities of Tangier and Al Hoceima, two Royal Navy units, on patrol missions in Moroccan territorial waters, located and assisted three boats, which had on board a total of 136 individuals, of Moroccan nationality and other sub-Saharan African countries," the same source says.

All these would-be immigrants were rescued and safely returned to the ports of Ksar Sghir and Nador, according to the statement.
