Royal Navy Assists 31 Boats in Trouble Carrying 615 Illegal Immigrants (FAR)

The Royal Navy assisted, Saturday and Sunday, 31 boats in trouble in the Mediterranean, carrying 615 illegal immigrants, all of whom were safely returned to Moroccan ports, announced the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR).

"During the days of 06 and 07 October 2018, units of the Royal Navy, operating in the Mediterranean, assisted thirty-one (31) inflatable boats of different categories in trouble. These boats carried six hundred and fifteen (615) illegal immigrants," said FAR General Staff in a statement.

All individuals were safely returned to Moroccan ports and several of the boats carrying them sank because of their dilapidated condition, the same source said.
