In Marrakech, Guterres will also take part, on Monday, in a high-level meeting to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as will several former United Nations High Commissioners for Human Rights, spokesman Stéphane Dujarric said at a press briefing.

The Marrakech Intergovernmental Conference, convened by the United Nations, will bring together at least 150 member States and 20 Heads of State and Government.

This is a "very important" conference that will launch a "global debate" on the issue of migration. « We are very grateful for the support of Morocco, which is hosting this conference," Dujarric said.
