Morocco and Bahrain reaffirmed their determination to reinforce bilateral cooperation in the different areas and continue coordinating their positions on all matters of shared interest.

Head of government Saad Eddine El Othmani held talks, on Wednesday in Rabat, with Bahraini Foreign Minister Khaled Bin Ahmed Bin Mohamed Al Khalifa on means to boost efforts for the optimal implementation of cooperation agreements signed between the two countries, said a statement from the head of government's office.

The two leaders welcomed, on this occasion, the excellent fraternal relations between Morocco and the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI and his brother HM King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, it said.

They also hailed the positive results of the 4th session of the Moroccan-Bahraini Joint Committee, held on Tuesday in Rabat, which was crowned by the signing of several cooperation agreements in various fields of common interest.

These agreements cover air transport, political consultation, diplomacy, information and communication, sport, employment and social security.

The air transport agreement aims to open a direct air route between Rabat and Manama and promote tourism through the adoption of competitive and innovative prices.
