Morocco, Bangladesh Eager to Foster Cooperation

Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Bourita and his Bangladeshi counterpart Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali held, in Rabat on Wednesday, political consultations, an opportunity to review ways to strengthen relations between Morocco and Bangladesh.

On the sidelines of their meeting, Bourita and Mahmood Ali signed a draft agreement on bilateral consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries with the aim of further strengthening bilateral cooperation relations to meet the aspirations of both countries.

Mahmood Ali, while welcoming the "historical" ties linking Morocco to Bangladesh, emphasized the importance of this draft agreement, which represents an essential tool for the consolidation and development of bilateral diplomatic relations.

Bangladesh has bilateral consultations with a number of countries, mainly with Europe and North America, Mahmood Ali, who is on a working visit to the Kingdom along with a large delegation, told the press.

On this occasion, the two ministers also signed an agreement between Bangladesh and Morocco to avoid double taxation and tax evasion regarding taxes on income.
