Jerada Province Development Plan: Agriculture Minister Gets Informed of Agricultural Projects Implementation

Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests Aziz Akhannouch held, on Wednesday in Oujda, a meeting with the regional committee for monitoring and implementing the Jerada Province Development Plan to get information about the implementation of agricultural projects under this Plan.

The meeting, which was attended by Wali of the eastern region and governor of the Oujda-Angad prefecture Mouad El Jamai, chairman of the committee, and governor of the province of Jerada Mabrouk Tabet, was marked by the presentation of details and data on the various agricultural projects launched last year to ensure their sustainability and their implementation in good conditions, said a statement from the Ministry.

On this occasion, Akhannouch emphasized that the agricultural projects included in the Development Plan, mainly the planting of fruit trees and irrigation projects will contribute to the creation of economic alternatives for the benefit of inhabitants and communes in the said province.

He also added that the land mobilization operation, especially for the benefit of eligible parties, is continuing thanks to efforts by the local authorities and will help with a better management of agricultural lands, noting that the development of the irrigation area in ​​the province on a surface area of ​​1,500 to 3,000 hectares is an ambitious project for which significant efforts have been made.
