The prize for the best article was granted to Alexandrine Bandouzi from Congolese News Agency (ACI) for her feature entitled "African environment: Blue Fund, an economic development area for African countries".

Receiving her award from FAAPA President Khalil Hachimi Idrissi, Bandouzi said she was very honoured and proud for winning this award, and thanked the organizers for this initiative and her agency's officials who helped her participate in this contest.

In the category of the best picture, the prize was handed to Asseu Yapo Severen, a reporter from Ivorian agency AIP for an image immortalizing a public dumpster.

"This is a plus in my career," he said happily, thanking the leaders of his agency for their support.

The FAAPA Grand Prix, whose 2018 edition has been launched, is worth 1,000 dollars and is open to all journalists from member agencies.
