Moroccan Ali Rame Elected President of Conference of States Parties to Arab Anti-Corruption Convention

Moroccan Ali Rame, Director of legal affairs department at the Central Authority for Corruption Prevention, was elected Tuesday as president of the Conference of States Parties to Arab Anti-Corruption Convention.

Rame was unanimously elected as president of the Conference of States Parties to Arab Anti-Corruption Convention, during the 2nd session of the conference, held in Cairo with the participation of Morocco and other Arab countries, said a statement by the Moroccan permanent delegation to the Arab League.

This election is a recognition of the Moroccan experience in terms of moralizing public life and fighting corruption, in addition to its efforts regionally to promote transparency, it said.

The event was attended by representatives of mainly Egypt, Jordan, UAE, Tunisia, Algeria, KSA, Sudan, Iraq, Oman, Palestine and Morocco.
