Over 260,000 People Visited 2nd Edition of National Police Open Days

The second edition of the open days of the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) held in Marrakech under the theme "National Security, Citizen Police" and which wrapped up on Sunday, has attracted more than 260,000 visitors of different ages and nationalities, the DGSN said in a statement.

These visitors were informed about the various aspects of the modernization and upgrading process of the security institution, the source pointed out, adding that the visitors were also informed about the different missions performed by police officers to protect the country as well as citizens.

This information and awareness event wrapped up with an artistic evening in honor of the family members and guests of national security forces. 

A tribute was also paid to three students, among the most deserving at the baccalaureate levels, whose parents are officials at the DGSN, according to the same source.

This meeting was an opportunity for the various services of the DGSN to reinforce the principle of proximity with the citizen and the reactivity with regard to the citizen’s requests and expectations in the area of security, and this through the organization of 56 simulation exercises related to the various police interventions during the major missions, 33 sensitization workshops, in addition to ten conferences on scientific and academic issues dealing with the citizen’s security interests.

On this occasion, the DGSN expressed its deep gratitude to all the citizens who interacted with the event and reiterated its thanks to all territorial authorities, elected councils, government departments, private institutions, civil society actors and the media that contributed to the success of this edition.

The DGSN underlined its strong commitment to implementing the high royal instructions on the modernization and upgrading of the DGSN to preserve the security of citizens and protect their property.
