Spain: Moroccan Arrested for Belonging to Terrorist Organization

Spanish policemen arrested, on Monday in Sagunto, in the province of Valencia (east of Spain), a Moroccan man for his alleged belonging to a terrorist organization, said the Spanish Interior Ministry.

 Aged 46, the accused is suspected of indoctrination and defending terrorism using the internet, said the same source in a statement.

According to the investigation by the Spanish security services, the suspect had contacts with a member of terrorist organization "Jabhat Al-Nosra", which is affiliated to Al Qaeda, and showed his interest in traveling to Syria to participate in the fighting.

He even resorted to drug trafficking to finance his travel towards this conflict zone, it added.

The same source said that this individual underwent lately a radicalization process that made him adopt radical habits and behaviors.

The suspect was watching videos of terrorist propaganda praising violent actions in conflict zones. He had repeatedly expressed the wish, on his posts, to die in a terrorist action.
