2018 World Cup: Turkish Referee Cüneyt Çakır to Officiate Morocco-Iran Game

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) appointed the Turkish referee Cüneyt Çakır to officiate the game opposing Morocco to Iran on Friday (15h00 GMT) in Saint Petersburg, Russia, for the first round of Group B in the 2018 World Cup finals.

The other game of the group, opposing Spain and Portugal the same day (18h00) in Sochi, will be officiated by the Italian referee Gianluca Rocchi.

For the other two matches in the group stage, Morocco will face Portugal on June, 20th in Moscow (13h00), then Spain on June, 25th in Kaliningrad (19h00).

Argentina's Néstor Pitana was assigned by FIFA as the referee for the Tournament’s opening game between Russia and Saudi Arabia Thursday in Moscow (15h00).
