This royal initiative aroused the recognition and gratitude of various Lebanese actors, who expressed their thanks to His Majesty the King for this gesture that reflects a noble human sense.

"This operation took place in good conditions," Moroccan ambassador to Lebanon, M'hammed Grine, told MAP, indicating that this royal initiative has allowed to deliver, in four days, 90 tons of basic food products on board eight military aircraft.

Many Lebanese personalities have appreciated and commended this generous royal donation, including elected officials, media personalities and intellectuals, among others, said the Moroccan diplomat.

For his part, Elie Ferzli, vice president of the Lebanese Parliament, welcomed this generous royal donation to the Lebanese army and people.

Local media also highlighted this noble royal initiative which testifies to the depth and strength of the relationship between the two countries and peoples.

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), had given His high approval to make a personal royal donation in the form of food aid to the Lebanese armed forces and the brotherly Lebanese people.

This Royal decision takes place in response to a request made by the Lebanese side, and within the framework of solidarity with this brotherly country, in order to enable it to face the economic challenges and the repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic.
