A total of 21,873,313 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Morocco, while the number of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) has reached 18,300,124, the ministry pointed out in its daily COVID-19 bulletin.
The total number of COVID-19 cases reported since the start of the outbreak of the virus stands at 927,127, while recoveries rise to 895,434, i.e. a recovery rate of 96.6%.
The new COVID-19 cases were reported in the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (565), Casablanca-Settat (541), the Oriental (149), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (118), Marrakech-Safi (50), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (48), Fez-Meknes (39), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (32), Souss-Massa (28), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (22), Guelmim-Oued Noun (18) and Draa-Tafilalet (10).
As for coronavirus-related deaths, they rose to 14,102 with 26 fatalities reported over the past 24 hours in the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (6), Casablanca-Settat (6), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (4), Marrakech-Safi (3), Souss-Massa (3), Fez-Meknes (2), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (1) et Draa-Tafilalet (1).
The number of active cases stands at 17,591 including 1,222 people in a critical or severe condition, the ministry said.
