The tour, which will also include the cities of Mumbai and New Delhi, aims to highlight the assets and potential of the Kingdom and promote the offer of an industry at the forefront of technology, meeting the needs of global demand.
"It is a great pleasure to host the Moroccan delegation. We explored the possibilities of collaboration between Morocco and India in general and the state of Karnataka, in particular," said KS Viswanthann, vice president of the industry association NASSCOM, in a statement to MAP.
Morocco posts a good performance in terms of aerospace and automotive industries, but also in the services segment, he said, adding that the favorable investment conditions in Morocco encourage Indian operators to settle there and expand.
For his part, the managing director of Karnataka Agro-Chemicals, Mahesh Shetty, said he was convinced that collaboration with the Moroccan side will certainly have positive results, indicating his willingness to visit Morocco as soon as possible.
Ramana Reddy, deputy head of the Department of Commerce and Industry in the Government of Karnataka, noted that Bangalore is the capital of India's Information Technology (IT), while Morocco is emerging as a hub of aerospace and automotive industries which offer huge opportunities for joint ventures in these areas.
Anil Kumar, vice-president of CONCENTRIX, specialized in outsourcing, said that the meeting with the Moroccan delegation was very interesting and promising and allowed him to better know the assets and investment opportunities in Morocco.
Chaired by Youssef El Bari, director general of AMDIE and Morocco's ambassador to India, Mohamed Maliki, the Moroccan delegation had a series of meetings with ministers of the state of Karnataka as well as with businessmen and major economic operators of the state.
