During a coordination meeting, held Friday with the consuls general of Morocco accredited in Spain, the diplomat recalled the High and Benevolent Solicitude of which HM King Mohammed VI surrounds the Moroccan community abroad.
In this regard, Benyaich urged the Consulates General to prioritize the issue of the return of Moroccans to their homeland in full coordination with the Spanish authorities.
Consular services are called upon to be attentive to Moroccans living abroad, assist them and provide them with the necessary support and assistance in line with the High Royal Instructions, said the diplomat, assuring that all measures have been taken by Morocco and Spain, to ensure the best conditions for the conduct of this major operation.
According to Benyaich, the resumption of the Marhaba operation, after a two-year hiatus, is a "major challenge" for both countries, which requires general and constant mobilization of consular services to facilitate the administrative procedures of the Moroccan community living abroad and assist people in vulnerable situations.
