"Showing wisdom in abiding by national decisions taken in the face of this global pandemic is necessary and fundamental to contain the spread of the virus," said Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, president of the Rabbinical High Court, in a statement.
Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto considers it essential not to give in to psychosis, to be civic-minded and to remain vigilant during these periods of social distancing and confinement, deeming it important to remain benevolent towards others while respecting the rules of confinement, for the safety of us all.
He also praised the High Royal Instructions which will make it possible to "bring this unprecedented health crisis to a successful conclusion and preserve the Moroccan people so dearly beloved".
"The Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI May God assist him, is the object of my prayers. We stand beside His Majesty and pray to God with strength, to accompany him in this trial in serenity," he insisted.
The president of the Rabbinical High Court also expressed his support for the members of the Moroccan Jewish community who tested positive for Covid19.
