"Some articles and news reports published recently by foreign media included inaccurate or partial figures and data, or even magnified facts or put out of context for the purpose of media agitation," said the ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports in a statement.
"The ministry draws the attention of all correspondents to the need for strict compliance with the legal and legislative rules in force, which regulate the status of foreign journalists accredited to the Kingdom, and insists on the imperative to respect the rules of the profession in verifying the source and accuracy of information regarding the coronavirus epidemic", the source pointed out.
In this regard, the ministry reminded correspondents that all the relevant governmental department are permanently working to facilitate access to information and provide detailed data on the latest developments of the pandemic in the country as well as on the measures taken to mitigate the social and economic repercussions of the coronavirus.
