The suspects were arrested red-handed on board a car at the Playa Khira beach (south of the city) for violating the state of health emergency, the national police (DGSN) said in a statement, noting that, as a result of the preventive palpation operation, an administrative seal belonging to a car registration centre, six narcotic tablets and a quantity of kif, in addition to six car registration cards and three driving licences, were seized from the two suspects.
The search carried out at the home of one of the individuals led to the seizure of two seals belonging to two public administrations, 32 registration cards, 23 temporary vehicle registration cards, 16 expired driving licences, 13 old models of driving licences, 47 records of transfer of ownership of vehicles and 11 seals of private companies, the DGSN added, stressing that these objects are being examined to determine their origin and the conditions of acquisition.
The two suspects were placed in police custody to complete the preliminary investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor's office, with a view to elucidating the ins and outs of this case and all the criminal acts of which those individuals are accused, the statement concluded.
