During the ceremony of handing over the necklace of the President of the Tarragona Hispanic-Moroccan friendship Rotary Club, recently held in the presence of the Consul General of Morocco in Tarragona Saloua Bichri, several personalities underlined that the initiatives of HM the King in favor of the African continent reflect the Sovereign's unwavering commitment to inter-African solidarity.
On this occasion, Oliver Klein, university professor and deputy at the town hall of Cambrills, noted that during this global health crisis Morocco showed its spirit of solidarity and generosity thanks to the initiatives of HM the King.
In the same vein, Cindy Lopez Gil, of the Tarragona Human Rights Observatory, welcomed the steps taken by HM the King to assist African countries during this global pandemic, assuring that Morocco is an example to follow in terms of solidarity with neighboring countries.
The journalist and new president of the Rotary Club Tarragona Ricard Checa paid a warm tribute to HM the King's leadership and far-sighted vision in managing the health crisis linked to Covid-19 and the initiatives of the Sovereign aimed at contributing to the efforts of African countries to face this pandemic.
In the same context, Virginia Morcillo, entrepreneur, praised the noble gesture of HM the King to grant aid to several African countries, composed of equipment and material for protection against the coronavirus.
For his part, Alberto Tejero, entrepreneur, affirmed that HM the King gave a "lesson of solidarity and generosity" by granting medical aid to neighboring countries, welcoming the "know-how" of Morocco during the management of the health crisis linked to Covid-19.
