In an article published in Peruvian papers on the occasion of the celebration of the glorious Throne Day, Chaoudri added that the two countries maintain "relations based on mutual respect and a strong willingness to strengthen cooperation in various fields".
The Kingdom, he went on, is animated by a "firm will to consolidate its relations with Peru and to raise them to a level of multidimensional partnership capable of strengthening South-South cooperation, political dialogue and trade and to ensure their continuity and dynamism".
In this regard, the Moroccan diplomat recalled the historic visit of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to Peru in 2004, which reflected the firm will at the highest level to work to strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two countries, he noted.
He also commended the level of coordination and convergence of views between the Kingdom and Peru in various forums and on multilateral initiatives aimed at promoting human development, combating terrorism and respecting international legitimacy, the rule of law and democracy, affirming that both countries are committed to maintaining international peace and security.
In this context, he referred to the excellent relations between the legislative institutions of the two countries, highlighting the recent establishment of the Peru-Morocco Parliamentary Friendship Group, which has been integrated by various political forces within the Peruvian parliament.
Also, he recalled that the Kingdom recently obtained observer status with the Andean Community of Nations (CAN) as the first Arab and African country.
