In a statement to MAP, Sanchez Serra said the royal speech is "realistic, because it establishes a real diagnosis of the situation that the Kingdom is currently experiencing due to the coronavirus epidemic, like all countries of the world, and gives hope through the package of measures announced by HM the King to overcome the crisis caused by this pandemic.
He recalled that the Sovereign indicated in the Throne Speech that 33.7 billion dirhams had been mobilized within the framework of a special fund to finance social support measures and obtain the necessary medical equipment, in addition to the allocation of five billions to the Caisse centrale de garantie (CCG) and the injection of around 120 billion dirhams into the national economy.
Sanchez Serra added that the economic measures taken by Morocco as well as those announced by HM the King confirm that the Kingdom is able to overcome the repercussions of the epidemic, stressing that the royal speech brings solutions to revive the economy.
The Peruvian expert also recalled that Morocco has adopted since the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic in the country a "proactive approach", describing the management by the Kingdom of the health crisis caused by the epidemic as a "model" for many countries.
In this regard, he highlighted the medical aid granted, upon High Royal instructions, to many African countries to support their efforts to fight the pandemic, affirming that the Kingdom has shown solidarity with the countries of the continent by providing them with medical equipment at a time when the world was suffering from a shortage of these products.
