This new figure brings to 70,160 the number of contaminations in the Kingdom since the first case reported on March 2 and to 53,929 that of people who fully recovered, a recovery rate of 76.9%, said the ministry in its daily report.
The death toll rose to 1,329 with 37 new deaths recorded in the past 24 hours, according to the same source.
These deaths are distributed between the regions of Marrakech-Safi (10), Fez-Meknes (08), Casablanca-Settat (07), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (04), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (04), Darâa-Tafilalet (02), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (01) and Souss-Massa (01).
The new cases are distributed between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (462), Marrakech-Safi (234), Darâa-Tafilalet (222), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (165), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (148), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (88), Fez-Meknès (80), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (64), Souss-Massa (29), Guelmim-Oued Noun (28), the eastern region (26) and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (09). The number of excluded cases amounts to 1,976,336 after 21,015 new cases found to be negative.
The active cases reached the number of 14,902, with a prevalence of around 41/100,000 inhabitants. Regarding severe or critical cases, there are 189, including 34 intubated people.
The cumulative incidence rate is 193.2/100,000 inhabitants, against an incidence of 24 hours established at 4.3/100,000 inhabitants. the case fatality rate is 1.9%.
