The Moroccan diplomat, who took part Friday in Segovia in a conference organized by IE Business School on "Female leadership, the silent conquest", recalled the various reforms undertaken by Morocco to strengthen women's rights.
During this meeting, which was also attended by several ambassadors, Benyaich mentioned, in this regard, the reforms of the Family Code, the Nationality Code and the Labor Code and also shed light on the major advances achieved by the 2011 Constitution in this area.
The increase in the number of women holding positions of responsibility in the Moroccan administration, and in particular in diplomacy, perfectly reflects the dynamics in which Morocco is engaged, the ambassador noted.
The diplomat also paid tribute to the significant role played by Moroccan women in the current context marked by the Covid-19 crisis, particularly in the health sector, deploring, nevertheless, the fact that women are the most affected category by the economic and social effects of the pandemic.
This conference is part of the International festival of art and culture “Hay festival España 2020”, held in Segovia.
