The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country rises to 101,743 while the number of cured people increases to 80,732, the ministry added in its daily update, adding that the recovery rate has reached 79.3%.
A total of 35 coronavirus-related deaths were registered during the same period, taking the death toll to 1,830, the source pointed out, adding that the fatality rate stands at 1.8%.
These fatalities were reported in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (10), Marrakech-Safi (6), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (4), Fez-Meknes (4), Draa-Tafilalet (3), Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (2), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (2), Souss-Massa (2), the Oriental (1) and Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (1).
The cumulative incidence rate is 280.2 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, the ministry said, adding that the number of active cases stands at 19,181.
The total number of excluded cases following negative tests rises to 2,287,372 since the start of the outbreak, including 21,007 over the past day.
The new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (605), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (300), the Oriental (190), Marrakech-Safi (169), Souss-Massa (139), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (121), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (120), Draa-Tafilalet (114), Fez-Meknes (65), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (53), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (32) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (19).
The number of Covid-19 patients in a critical condition has reached 279, according to the same source.
