Organized by the ministry of National Territorial Planning, Housing and City Policy, this webinar is part of the implementation of the National Strategy for Intermediate Cities in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the World Urban Agendas.
The workshop, co-organized with the ministry of the Interior, in partnership with United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), UCLG-Africa and UN-Habitat, brings together a wide range of African ministers, national and international experts and presidents of local authorities. It aims to share good practices and at the same time enrich the progress made in this type of cities to cope with the impacts of the global health crisis.
Likewise, this virtual workshop intends to develop innovative ideas for the definition of a new model of resilient urban development.
The debate chaired by minister of National Territorial Planning, Housing and City Policy, Nouzha Bouchareb, focuses on several key points, namely territorial actions and measures undertaken in favor of sustainable and resilient intermediate cities, the role of these cities in the new model of urban development and their mission as accelerators of the implementation of the various Urban Agendas at the national level.
