According to a statement from the DGSN on Friday, this is meant to simplify the services provided to all users and to be in tune with the measures adopted in terms of the digitization of the administration.
The same source said that the new generation concerns the registration and residence cards issued to foreign nationals residing normally in the Kingdom, as well as the circulation document provided for their minor children regardless of their age and which allows them to verify their identity in a secure manner during their stay in Morocco.
According to the press release, the DGSN equipped these identity documents with high security criteria, according to globally defined systems, in order to prevent their falsification and misuse by others since they are equipped with a password given exclusively to the holder when the document is issued.
The DGSN insisted that the documents requested for getting the new generation of residence permits for foreigners residing normally in Morocco have not changed, adding that the data, form and content of these identity documents in their new version have been set by organizational decisions published in official bulletin No. 6927 of October 19, 2020.
