The Council stated that 71,698 decisions were issued by the courts and that 241,743 detainees benefited from the remote trial system during the same period.
This project, which yielded significant results, is in line with of the values of openness and communication over the measures adopted by the CSPJ, in order to stem the spread of the coronavirus in Morocco, the same source stressed.
The CSPJ reiterated its continued commitment to complete this project in order to enable the courts to fulfill their constitutional duties and enshrine the right to a fair trial in a timely manner, especially in this exceptional context marked by the spread of Covid-19.
The institution emphasized the sense of responsibility and commitment of all components of the judicial system, while calling on all actors to strictly adhere to the prevention and precautionary measures recommended to avoid the risks associated with the pandemic.
