"For over 20 years, HM King Mohammed VI has been behind the development of significant projects that have made Morocco one of the most politically, economically and socially advanced countries in Africa," the magazine's editorialist pointed out.
Under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, Morocco is an experienced and internationally recognized ally in counter-terrorism and illegal immigration, and a leader in South-South cooperation, the Nigerian Magazine noted, recalling in this context the many visits made by the Sovereign in African countries marked by the signing of 1,000 economic agreements.
The author said that "HM the King initiated several major reforms related to human and women's rights, peaceful democratic reforms and played a key role as a mediator of the world and regional peace in many conflicts."
"The Sovereign played an integral part in the fight against Covid-19, not only in Morocco but also in many African countries," he added.
In a special feature of 20 pages and made up of five major articles, the magazine listed the actions of HM King Mohammed VI in various fields nationally and in the continent.
Speaking about the strengthening of inter-African trade, the magazine highlighted "Morocco's importance of opening up to inter-African partnerships, by being able to sign more than 1,000 economic agreements, large-scale projects with several African countries, a result of several visits made by the Sovereign across Africa and the work of a strategic regional economic hub, contributing to the overall development of the continent."
Regarding social security and tax reform, the magazine wrote that "HM King Mohammed VI has announced major socio-economic reforms designed to constitute a post-crisis recovery plan worth 120 billion dirhams to ease the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, and called for the generalization of social security to all Moroccans within the next five years."
"HM the King also approved a Bill on tax reforms aimed at achieving tax fairness and ensuring the equality of all," the magazine added.
Concerning gender equality, the magazine stated that "under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, the political, socio-economic and cultural context framing relations between men and women in Morocco undergone major changes in recent years, reflecting the attention paid by the Sovereign to equality and rights of women and girls and their socio-economic and political empowerment in all areas."
As for the continental action, the magazine wrote that "Morocco has always placed the interest of the Libyan people at the heart of its policy. The Kingdom has been an impartial mediator during the peace talks between the opposing Libyan parties since the beginning of the crisis" in this Maghreb country.
"Its neutral position contributed to the progress made in the UN-led process and gave the negotiations a chance to succeed for the first time," it concluded.
