According to a statement from the House, Ms Le Gal congratulated, on this occasion, Talbi Alami for his election as Speaker of the House of Representatives, expressing her willingness to develop bilateral and multilateral parliamentary relations, and to consolidate Franco-Moroccan coordination at the various regional and international parliamentary fora.
"Morocco is the first partner of France, something that is manifested in all sectors, areas and institutions," said Ms Le Gal, as quoted in the statement.
She also welcomed the project of institutional twinning parliamentary and the distinguished parliamentary relations between the two countries, stressing that this momentum must be maintained in the aftermath of the French parliamentary elections scheduled for next June, through the two friendship groups and the Franco-Moroccan Parliamentary Forum, which is a space for exchanging ideas on issues of common interest, such as climate change, renewable energies, digital transition, as well as health, social and economic priorities triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic.
For his part, Talbi Alami highlighted the distinguished relations binding the two countries, while underlining the importance of fostering ties between MPs through the strengthening of the role of the two friendship groups.
This meeting was an opportunity for Talbi Alami to highlight the achievements of Morocco, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, as well as the initiatives undertaken by the Sovereign, which have made the Kingdom a leading country, regionally and internationally, in managing the repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the same source.
During this meeting, Talbi Alami and Ms. Le Gall discussed several bilateral, regional and international issues of common parliamentary interest.
