Speaking at the opening of an international seminar under the theme "legislative basis for the digitization of judicial procedures," Ouahbi said that, according to the recommendations of judiciary system reform charter, the efficiency of justice and the establishment of fundamentals of the digital court require the adoption of modern means of communication to accelerate judicial proceedings and computerize the files to ensure their instant processing, within the framework of remote communication, using modern technology.
Given the societal dimension of the large-scale project of justice reform, the Ministry of Justice, since the early stages of the development of the project of digital transformation of justice, has voluntarily adopted a participatory approach with the Supreme Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) and the Presidency of the Public Prosecutor's Office, he said, noting that to further enshrine this approach, the Ministry has also expanded its consultations with other partners at the national level concerned with the digitization of judicial procedures, with the aim of improving this project and adapting it to the expectations of all institutional stakeholders.
As part of this participatory approach, the Ministry of Justice has taken the initiative to open up to the experiences of its international partners, who have expressed their support and willingness to back the implementation of this structuring project, he added.
In this regard, Ouahbi stressed that to achieve a comprehensive and deep reform of justice in Morocco, whose objectives are consistent with the strategic directions of the New Development Model, the Ministry of Justice has adopted an approach to governance based on the modernization of the legislative arsenal and its adaptation to the deep and important transformations that the country is experiencing at all levels, including the reform of the code of civil procedure, the code of criminal procedure and the legal arsenal governing the introduction of modern technologies in justice, and this in accordance with the rules and standards in force at national and international levels.
