In the Joint Communiqué issued at the end of the fourth session of the Joint Cooperation Commission, held in Dakhla and co-chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and his Burkina Faso counterpart, Olivia Ragnaghnewendé Rouamba, the two ministers reiterated their shared determination to make the Morocco-Burkina Faso partnership a model of South-South and inter-African cooperation.
They praised the excellence of the deep ties of friendship and solidarity between the two countries, and praised the quality of the feelings of esteem and respect that characterize the relationship between His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, and His Excellency Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of the Transition and Head of State of Burkina Faso.
During their meeting, the two ministers praised the bonds of brotherhood and solidarity that exist between the two countries, and reaffirmed their determination to boost and diversify bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic and commercial spheres. They noted that the meeting had given a new dynamic to the excellent relations between the two countries.
The two sides welcomed the sustained pace of mutually beneficial and fruitful bilateral cooperation between the two countries, as well as the prospects for diversifying and consolidating this partnership in promising sectors such as security, transport, training, agriculture, food safety, water and health.
The two ministers also underlined the interest shown by the two Heads of State in developing economic relations between the two brotherly countries, as part of a new partnership strategy.
In this context, Bourita underlined the Kingdom of Morocco's willingness to contribute to Burkina Faso's socio-economic development efforts.
