The number of cases excluded after negative laboratory results is 20,114, for a total of 1,207,936, said Belfkih who noted that 89% of new cases were detected in the context of the contact tracking system.
As for the geographical distribution of the new cases, the official said that 267 cases were recorded in the region of Casablanca-Settat (231 in Casablanca, 16 in Nouacer, 7 in Berrechid, 6 in Mohammadia, 2 in El Jadida, 4 in Mediouna and one case in Benslimane), 258 in the region of Tangier-Tétouan- Al Hoceima (235 in Tangier, 13 in Tétouan, 5 in Larache, 3 in Al Hoceima, 1 case in Ouazzane and another in Chefchaouen) and 227 in the region of Fez-Meknes (213 in Fez, 12 in Meknes and 2 in El Hajeb).

Regarding active cases, Belfkih indicated that 5,602 people are currently under treatment in hospitals, of which 78 are in critical condition. These people are distributed between the regions of Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (1.644), Casablanca-Settat (1.597), Fez-Meknes (1.167), Marrakech-Safi (587), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (293), the eastern region (95), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (51), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (54) Drâa-Tafilalet (73), Souss-Massa (26 cases), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (10 cases) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (5 cases).
For people in critical condition, he reported 78 cases admitted to intensive care units, nine of which are intubated.
