This meeting takes place as part of a new series of sessions and consultations held by the CSMD with various stakeholders, with the objective of consolidating a participatory approach aimed at setting out the expected development model, while taking into account the effects of the crisis triggered by the spread of the novel Coronavirus.
During this meeting, the delegation, made up of Driss Lachguar, Abdelhamid Jmahri, Khaoula Lachguar, El Mehdi Mezouari, Tarik El Malki and Ahmed El Aked, highlighted the main outlines of its memorandum regarding the new development model in the light of the new situation created by the pandemic and the health crisis.
Speaking to reporters on this occasion, the party's secretary general, Driss Lachguar, said the circumstances in which the CSMD was set up are very different from the current situation which is marked by a complete reversal of the development concepts across the world.
Studying the development model in this new context requires examining the Commission's methodology so as to mitigate the repercussions of the health crisis even before dealing with this model, he said.
The CSMD is expected to hold similar meetings with other political bodies that have expressed their willingness to present their proposals and visions regarding the new development model.
