This increase is the result of a 2% rise in prices for "Metallurgy", 0.4% for "Food industries", 0.2% in "Chemical industry", 0.1% in the "Clothing industry" and in the "Manufacturing of rubber and plastic products", explained the HCP in a note on the industrial, energy and mining producer price index (IPPIEM) for October 2020.
The prices of the "Manufacturing of electrical equipment" fell by 0.2%, underlined the same source, noting that the producer price index of the "Extractive industries" sector has experienced an increase of 0.1% during the month of October 2020.
The producer price indices for the sectors of "Production and distribution of electricity" and "Production and distribution of water" stagnated during the month of October 2020.
