During a meeting with the Moroccan Ambassador to Panama Oumama Aouad, the Panamanian Deputy Minister underlined the will of the Panamanian government to continue consolidating bilateral cooperation on the basis of issues of mutual interest on the political agenda, said a statement of the foreign affairs ministry of the Central American country.
The discussions surveyed bilateral relations and examined ways to revive the political dialogue.
According to the same source, the meeting also enabled to discuss the situation of women and the efforts made in Panama and Morocco for their empowerment and full social integration, and to share information on the strategies and initiatives adopted to counter the Covid-19 pandemic, and the responses provided by governments on both sides to protect the most vulnerable sectors.
The Panamanian official reiterated on this occasion the importance given by her government to its relation with Morocco, with which Panama shares many similarities in the maritime, port and commercial fields.
